Subject: Urgent: Update regarding your Verio DSL Connection on the NorthPoint Network

Dear Valued Verio DSL Customer,

Verio is committed to providing quality services to our customers, and we
want to provide you with an update on the situation with NorthPoint
Communications we initially notified you of last Thursday, March 22.

NorthPoint just informed us that the “cessation of services to customers and
the complete shutdown of their network is imminent.” Verio was obviously
disappointed to have just learned of their sudden decision to discontinue
its services. Given this regrettable situation, which unfortunately is out
of our control, we anticipate that your DSL connection will be terminated at
any time. We apologize for the inconvenience this shutdown will bring.
However, Verio is committed to actively working with current DSL customers
to maintain immediate access to email and basic web connectivity as well as
discussing and providing the best alternative access solutions.

Arrangements have been made for you to temporarily use a Verio dial-up
account for the next 60 days, free of charge. To take advantage of this,
please call 1-800-551-1630 and select the following options when prompted:
Access Support (option 4); DSL services (option 2, and then NorthPoint
(option 3). Obviously there will not be an early termination fee from Verio
for terminating your service with Verio due to this situation.

In addition, to best suit your needs, we have made other options available
to you.

If you would like to upgrade to a dedicated connection, such as a T-1 line
or a dedicated server, please contact Verio Sales at 1-877-837-4609. Verio
has arranged a special program for current Verio DSL customers on the
NorthPoint network interested in a T1 upgrade, and will be available to
discuss other solutions for your business needs.

If you prefer to continue using a DSL connection, Verio has entered into an
arrangement with EarthLink to offer a solution to current Verio DSL
customers on the NorthPoint network. Customers may contact EarthLink
directly to receive more details: by phone at 1-888-743-5438, and wait for
the Verio prompt to receive more information or at
for more details and to register online if desired. Please note that if you
choose this option, EarthLink will be your sole provider and point of
contact for DSL moving forward, including installation/transition, billing,
and support. If you have other services through Verio, such as web hosting,
Verio will continue to bill and support those services to you directly.

So it seems like my DSL will be going down shortly. Which means
will be going down shortly. Well, if all goes well, I’ll have my site back up
without much delay. If not, I’m going to have to find a temporary home for it.
